SW Shropshire

Why you should visit this area

This area is often described as the most beautiful part of the county - although people from the other areas may disagree!

The main town is Ludlow, famed for its castle, its beautiful church of St Lawrence and its many good restaurants.

The churches cover a range of styles, sizes and situations. Ratlinghope and Cardeston are small, intimate churches while Clungunford and Pontesbury are much larger.

The west border is running alongside the Welsh border, so Offa's Dyke is nearby to explore. Near Stokesay church is Stokesay Castle and in Craven Arms is the Discovery Centre and the Land of Lost Content.

In short, as well as visiting our lovely churches there are lots of other places to visit close by, so come and enjoy exploring this area.
