Caring for God's Acre
Hits :3387
Caring for God’s Acre aims to inspire and support local communities to care for churchyards and burial grounds in a way which benefits both people and wildlife. It works in 3 areas: Preserving heritage, Conserving wildlife and Involving communities.
Churchyards and old burial grounds are ‘living sanctuaries’ providing a refuge for plants and animals. They are also important places for archaeology and history, revealing evidence of the past and documenting the lives of people who have lived and worked in a parish.
